Timetravelling to Paris

About me

Bonjour!

My name is Cathérine Deshayes. I’m a twenty-something living in Paris, a city that has felt like home since the moment I first set foot here. Upon my first visit, 12 years ago now, I felt an overwhelming sense of belonging, something I couldn’t quite explain, as if I had always been meant to walk along the magnificent boulevards. That feeling never left me, and in 2018, I made it my reality and moved here for good.

I’ve always been fascinated by history, historical fashion and oddly enough also Victorian wallpaper, not in a professional sense, but as a passion that colors and shapes the way I experience the world. In my free time, you’ll likely find me watching costume dramas, sewing, getting lost in a good book, wandering through the streets of Paris, or spending hours in museums. In general, when I am not working, I’m timetravelling and being captivated by the past. I love uncovering the layers of history hidden in the city’s corners, imagining and experiencing the lives of those who came before.

Looking forward to connecting with fellow history lovers, creatives, and anyone who enjoys a good museum visit!

I’m Cathérine
